Cutler Financials Fund, L.P. (CFF)
Formerly called the Cutler Income & Growth Fund (CIG)
Fund Philosophy
The Cutler Financials Fund, L.P. (CFF) pursues a strategy targeting current income and capital appreciation investing in the financials sector.
Investment Strategy
The CFF Partnership expects to invest primarily in a portfolio of financial securities issued by both U.S. and foreign companies. These will include common stocks (including dividend-paying stocks), debt securities, and convertible securities that are typically either debt securities or preferred stocks that can be exchanged for common stock. As part of its investment strategy, the Partnership will have concentrated exposure to the financials sector. Short selling and other hedging techniques may be used. The Partnership may use leverage as part of its investment strategy to generate profit and/or control risk, including convertible arbitrage and short selling.
- The relatively high dividend yield received as compared to other common stocks;
- The potential for capital appreciation as a result of rising book value, rising earnings, rising dividends, rising valuation multiples and the potential for mergers and acquisitions; and
- The attractive risk/reward profile available in under-researched, overlooked community banks.
In an effort to maximize returns, the Partnership will also employ, from time to time, leverage as a normal course of its strategy.
Fund General Partner
Cutler Capital Management, LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company, is the General Partner and is responsible for the Partnership’s business and affairs, including investment of assets. Cutler Capital is an investment management firm with over $300 million of assets under management. Cutler specializes in blending convertible securities, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and dividend-paying stocks, to provide growth and income to high-net-worth investors, institutional investors, and non-profit organizations, including charitable foundations.
